Ukraine. Soybean processing lags behind last year record

Ukraine’s large and medium-sized crushers produced 15.5 KMT of soybean oil in March 2017, or almost 7% more than in the previous month (14.5 KMT) but 2.5% less than in March 2016 (15.9 KMT).

A total 95.3 KMT of soybean oil was made in September - March 2016-17 against 104.3 KMT at the same time a year ago (down 8.6%), reports UkrAgroConsult. Noteworthy, the soybean processing lags behind last record year reached 25-27% in the beginning of 2016/17.

Crushers are expected to continue displaying steady interest in soybeans in the latter half of the 2016/17 season.

Further prospects of the Black Sea oilseeds/vegoils market will be discussed at the V International Conference “Black Sea Oil Trade”, which will take place on September 19, 2017 in Hilton hotel, Kiev, Ukraine.
