Ukraine. Soybean yield is 16% lower than last year


The harvest of oilseeds in Ukraine is entering its final phase. As of November 13, sunseed was harvested from 5860 Th ha (98% of the projected 5954 Th ha) with a crop of 11725 KMT and a yield of 2.00 MT/ha (down 11.5% year-on-year), reports UkrAgroConsult.

At the same time, farmers harvested soybeans from 1838 Th ha (up 6% year-on-year) out of the projected 1990 Th ha. The crop was 3520 KMT with a yield of 1.92 MT/ha (down 16% year-on-year).

In addition, the planting of winter rape is going on. 860 Th ha was seeded to this oil crop by November 13, or 11% more than projected. The pace of planting is 2.8% ahead of last year. So, winter rape was sown on 836 Th ha a year ago.
