Ukraine surpassed its sunoil export record in March 2016/17

Ukraine surpassed its monthly sunoil export record in March 2016/17, when it supplied an unprecedented 650 KMT of the product to foreign markets – up 47% from the previous month (442 KMT). Correspondingly, total exports for the seven months of the current marketing year hit a new high, too, reports UkrAgroConsult.

So, 3355 KMT of sunoil was exported in September-March 2016/17 against 2628 KMT in the same period last season.

Active sales of Ukrainian sunoil are expected to continue up till the end of the season.

As a reminder, the geographic range of export destinations has been widened significantly this season. As before, the top importers include India (37% of total exports), European countries (23%) and China (11%). At the same time, while EU countries somewhat reduced purchases of Ukrainian sunoil (777.5 KMT against 799.6 KMT), other major importers boosted them considerably – India, China and Iran.

Further prospects of the Black Sea oilseeds/vegoils market will be discussed at the V International Conference “Black Sea Oil Trade”, which will take place on September 19, 2017 in Hilton hotel, Kiev, Ukraine.
