Ukraine-Turkey trade in goods grows by 11.2%

Last year, the trade in goods between Ukraine and Turkey grew by 11.2%.

“I’m glad to acknowledge that Ukraine-Turkey trade in goods in 2018 increased by 11.2% compared with the previous period,” Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Andrii Sybiha tweeted.

Ukraine and Turkey currently prepare for the signing of a free trade agreement, which was discussed during the visit of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to Turkey in November last year. At the end of January of this year, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced that the Cabinet of Ministers would elaborate the agreement on the creation of a free trade area with Turkey more actively to sign it as soon as possible.
