Ukraine. USPA to allocate UAH 3.9 billion for investment projects in 2017


In 2017 the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” (USPA) plans to allot UAH 3.9 billion for financing infrastructure projects in the port sector. “The amount of funds that will be spent on the implementation of infrastructure projects will be the largest over the recent years. In particular, in 2016, UAH 650.1 million were spent as a capital investment, while in 2017 this budget has been increased by 500%”, - said the acting chairman of the State Enterprise "USPA" Raivis Veckagans.

Construction of new facilities, modernization of ports infrastructure, and acquisition of fixed assets will become the main areas of capital investment.

In particular, UAH 1.74 billion will be allocated for dredging (44% of the total amount of capital investments), UAH 983 million – for construction and reconstruction of berths (25%), UAH 703.1 million (18%) – for equipment purchase, UAH 112.9 million (3%) – for construction.
