Ukraine will export more than 1 MMT of rapeseed this season
Ukraine exported 16.9 KMT of rapeseed in March 2017 against 14.2 KMT in February 2017 and 8.5 KMT in March 2016. Noteworthy, this is a five-year high for this month. The pace of exports traditionally slows toward the end of the season. Overall, 966.6 KMT of rapeseed was supplied to foreign markets in MY 2016/17 (July-March), or down 29.5% from the same time last marketing year (1372 KMT).
Estimating total 2016/17 exportable stocks, UkrAgroConsult sets the rapeseed foreign trade volume at 1025 KMT.
The current 2016/17 season saw no significant modifications in the range of Ukrainian rapeseed’s export destinations. As before, the bulk of export rapeseed (over 92%) is shipped to Europe. Israel absorbs 3% of export rapeseed, while Bangladesh accounts for 2%.
