Ukraine. Winter crops sowing pace is 10% slower than last year


By October 10 winter crops had been sown at 4723 Th ha, which was 64% of the forecasted area - 7374 Th ha, informs UkrAgroConsult. This included 4313 Th ha of winter wheat and triticale (70% from the planned 6198 Th ha), 132 Th ha of rye (90% of 147 Th ha), 278 Th ha of barley (27% of 1028 Th ha).

Sowing campaign lags behind the last year pace. By October 10, 2015 5269 Th ha had been sown with winter crops. Ukraine continues grain harvesting.
