Ukraine. Winter rapeseed crops cause no concern

Air temperatures started to gradually increase almost all over the country after May 12. Their daily average was 11.0-12.30С. The temperatures peaked at 250С on the warmest days and bottomed out at 1-130С on the coldest days. Precipitation in the form of rain occurred almost all across Ukraine, with its rates totaling up to 9 mm. It somewhat replenished top soil moisture content but this amount is not enough to provide the plow layer with productive moisture. In the southern, central regions and parts of other regions, where precipitation was insignificant, the plow layer was moistened poorly (5-10 mm).

Winter rapeseed is in good and fair condition, 4.3% of its plantings have been lost to date. Most of winter rape crops are at the full blooming and pod formation stages, reports UkrAgroConsult.

More information on crop conditions and progress of planting campaign in the countries of Black Sea Region is available to subscribers for weekly market report "Black Sea Grain & Oil" by UkrAgroConsult.

Further prospects of the Black Sea oilseeds/vegoils market will be discussed at the V International Conference “Black Sea Oil Trade”, which will take place on September 19, 2017 in Hilton hotel, Kiev, Ukraine.
