Ukraine. Winter rapeseed crops in stable condition


During February 1-10 the weather was variable, there occurred precipitation in form of snow and sleet. It rained in the South. A one-day thaw was followed by a cold spell. Average air temperatures varied within 0…+7ºC (in Kherson region) and -12ºC (in Dnipropetrovsk region). The maximum air temperature increased in Kherson region to 8-10ºC above zero, while the minimum temperature dropped to -22…-23ºC in Kharkiv and Sumy regions, reports UkrAgroConsult.

According to information of the Ag Ministry as of February 09, winter rapeseed had been planted on an area of 899.2 Th ha and emerged on 859.8 Th ha (95.6%). 40.5% of its crops were in good condition. 0.2% of winter rapeseed plantings had been lost.
