Ukraine. Winter rapeseed emerged on an area of 857 Th ha


Variable weather, moderately warm for this time of year, dominated all over Ukraine from January 11-20. Precipitation in the form of snow, sleet and rain occurred in the first half of the period. The average air temperature was 3.0-4.50C above normal, ranging from +2.60C in the south to -90C in the north. Air temperature peaked at +1-70C between January 11-15 and dropped to a minimum of -8-210C on cold nights.

According to the Ag Ministry’s information as of January 19, winter rape has been planted on 899.2 Th ha and emerged on an area of 857.0 Th ha (95.3%). 41.8% of its plantings are in good condition, reports UkrAgroConsult.
