Ukraine’s grain exports down 14% YOY at 34 million mt


Ukrainian grain exports are lagging previous years, with shipped volumes since July 1 down 14% at 34 million mt, data from the food safety authority showed Wednesday.

Wheat exports are down 3% year-on-year to 15.1 million mt, with a 16% fall in milling wheat to 8.7 million mt offsetting a 16% increase in feed wheat sales, which came to 6.4 million mt.

Corn has also underperformed, with sales 11% lower than last year at 14 million mt, while barley is 22% lower at 4 million mt.

Soybean sales are 7% lower at 2.5 million mt, although rapeseed sales have surged to more than double last year’s figure at 2.1 million mt.
