Ukraine’s sunoil exports hit a record high in 2016/17 season


October 2016 sunoil exports from Ukraine amounted to 433 KMT, or up 183 KMT (73%) from September 2016 (250 KMT) and up 25 KMT (6%) from October 2015/16 (408 KMT). The new season of 2016/17 features active vegoil sales to foreign markets, reports UkrAgroConsult. So, export shipments for the past two months reached 683 KMT, a record high for this time, and exceeded last season’s level by almost 20% (573 KMT).

UkrAgroConsult left its 2016/17 export forecast unchanged at 5.2 MMT.

The 2016/17 range of sunoil export destinations already includes more than 90 countries and it underwent no considerable changes. So, India remains the top consumer of the Ukrainian product with an export share of 29%. The EU intensified sunoil purchases from Ukraine in October and increased its share in the nation’s exports of this commodity from 13% to 21%. Confirming appeal of Ukrainian sunoil, China and Iran stay among its major importers with respective market shares of 20% and 6%.
