Ukraine’s Vice PM Kubiv discusses in Canada investment attraction


Ukraine is very interested in the greatest possible attraction of Canadian investments in various sectors of the economy.

 “I and Minister of International Trade Diversification of Canada, Jim Carr discussed the investments that expand the possibilities of American, Canadian and European technologies in the Ukrainian market in view of continuation of reforms in the social, pension, educational, medical fields, including the combating corruption and cooperation in manufacturing of Antonov middle-class aircraft which can be used in the Canadian market," First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv said in a commentary to an Ukrinform correspondent during his visit to Canada.

As noted, the parties also discussed "processing industry of agribusiness (both modernization and processing) and the formation of value chains."

Kubiv recalled that Canadian companies had invested "several hundred million dollars" in Ukraine’s agriculture and IT sector over the past two years. “They showed the capacities and competitiveness of the goods as well as the effectiveness of continuation of investments,” the First Vice Prime Minister said.
