Ukrainian corn market awaiting price surge


Most of market participants are currently focused on corn, reports UkrAgroConsult. But various complications, both for producers and traders emerged in the domestic market with the start of corn season.

Adverse weather conditions, namely rains delayed corn harvesting. As a result, this year corn harvesting pace is the slowest over the past few seasons. Certainly this fact has supported domestic prices. Corn still remains not only the most expensive in the domestic feed grain market, but has already reached the level of 3rd grade milling wheat.

Nevertheless, thanks to record high average yield, there is no shortage of corn supply in the market. But there is lack of large lots supply, which is directly related to internal logistical problems.
