Ukrainian farmers harvested 4% soybeans


Ukrainian farmers continue to harvest sunflower. By September 7 599 Th ha or 10% of the intended area (5905 Th ha) was threshed, which was 27% higher than over the same period last year (472 Th ha). 1170 KMT of sunflower was obtained with average yield 1.95 MT/ha. In 2015 over the same period 913 KMT of sunflower was obtained with average yield 1.93 MT/ha.

By the reporting date soybeans had been threshed from the area of 136 Th ha, which was 7% of the intended area – 1846.3 Th ha. 276 KMT was obtained with average yield – 2.04 MT/ha. Harvesting pace is slower than last year, but first yield results are better. Thus, by the same date of 2015 soybeans had been harvested from 233 Th ha and 413 KMT obtained with average yield – 1.77 MT/ha.
