Ukrainian growers hold 50% more sunseed than last year


According to current information of the State Statistics Service, sunseed inventories in Ukraine totaled 4761.1 KMT as of March 1, 2017, or 46.5% more than at the same time last year (3250.0 KMT). Out of this volume, growers held 2470.5 KMT (up 50.7% year-on-year) and storage/crushing facilities accounted for 2602.1 KMT (up 42.2%), reports UkrAgroConsult.

Crushers increased soybean stocks by more than 58% to 644.9 KMT as of March 1, 2017 (406.8 KMT as of March 1, 2016). At the same time, rapeseed inventories were down less than 1% at 79.7 KMT against 80.5 KMT available as of March 1, 2016.
