Ukrainian large exporters continue to expand their handling capacities


Nibulon to build new river terminals

In autumn 2018, the Nibulon Company intends to start construction of new river terminals. It is planned to carry out preparatory works for construction of river handling terminals in Ternovka (Zaporozhye region) and Mariansk (Dnipropetrovsk region), and already in spring 2019 they can be put into operation, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The company is also continuing the project to recover shipbuilding and improve logistics infrastructure of Ukrainian rivers. According to the general director of Nibulon, for coming years the company's task is to build a fleet of 100 ships, which the company is going to use to deliver 4 MMT of grain per year by rivers.

Kernel to increase capacities of terminals by more than 100%

In 2019, agro industrial holding Kernel plans to put into operation a new grain terminal of Transbulkterminal LLC in Chornomorsk seaport, as a result of which handling capacities of the company will increase from the current 4 MMT to 8.9 MMT, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Crude oil production is planned to be increased to 1.877 MMT, while sales – up to 1.753 MMT. The company intends to achieve this by building a new crushing plant or acquiring a local player in Western Ukraine. The company plans to increase sales of bottled oil to USD 150 million in monetary terms, intensify grain sales to 8 MMT and increase storage capacities for agricultural crops to 5 MMT.
