Ukrainian rapeseed oil production decreased by half

In May 2017, rapeseed oil production by Ukraine’s large and medium-sized crushers lowered again to 0.2 KMT, confirming UkrAgroConsult’s forecast about new monthly output lows. The crushers made 5.5 times less rape oil than in May 2016. In general, the situation is predictable, taking into account that crusher rapeseed stocks in early June were still less than half of last year’s volume.

So, Ukraine’s large and medium-sized crushers produced 66.5 KMT of rape oil in the current 2016/17 season (July-May), down 51% from the same period in the record crushing season of 2016/17 (148 KMT).
