Ukrainian seaports handled 40 MMT of grains and 4.7 MMT of vegoils in 2016

Ukraine’s seaports handled 40.306 MMT of grain in January-December 2016, or 7.5% more than at the same time last year (37.501 MMT), reports UkrAgroConsult.

The greatest volumes of grain cargo handling were accounted for by the following ports: Mykolaiv (9.06 MMT), Yuzhny (8.21 MMT), Odesa (8.16 MMT), Chornomorsk (7.98 MMT), Olvia (3.05 MMT).

Ukraine’s seaports handled 4.704 MMT of vegoils in January-December 2016, or 17.8% more than at the same time last year (3.995 MMT).

The greatest volumes were handled by the following ports: Mykolaiv (1.99 MMT), Chornomorsk (1.31 MMT), Yuzhny (1.05 MMT), Odesa (0.12 MMT) and Mariupol (0.09 MMT).

Additionally, in the same period, the seaports handled 90.02 KMT of sugar (none last year) and 38.65 KMT of fertilizers (down 30.8%).
