Ukrainian soybean oil production broke last year’s record

In December 2018, soybean oil production by large and medium-sized crushers in Ukraine totaled 19.4 KMT. This is 5.4% up than in the previous month, up 6% from the same month last year and the highest-ever volume for December.

As expected, soybean oil production in the first four months of the 2018/19 season broke last year’s record (61.6 KMT) and increased to 73.5 KMT, reports UkrAgroConsult.

As a reminder, market participants believe that processing of this oilseed will revive by the beginning of the new calendar year. UkrAgroConsult’s preliminary estimate for soybean oil production now remains at 330 KMT.
