Ukrainian wheat continued to grow last week


Mixed price trends were seen in the Ukrainian wheat market last week, reports UkrAgroConsult.

So, export prices for Ukrainian wheat continued to grow steadily on further positive dynamics of the world market. Ukrainian export prices for milling wheat closed the week on average up another USD 2-4/MT FOB, February-March delivery.

The current milling wheat prices are already USD 5-8/MT higher than last year, while those for feed wheat – USD 12/MT FOB higher than in 2017.

On the contrary, demand wheat prices decreased in the domestic market. Demand wheat prices in Ukraine followed the national currency’s exchange rate against the U.S. dollar: the hryvnia closed the week with a noticeable gain.
