Ukrainian wheat exports hit a record high in November

1833 KMT of wheat was exported from Ukraine in November, or 31% more than in the same month a year. This was a record November volume for the country, reports UkrAgroConsult.

In total, Ukrainian exporters supplied some 10.03 MMT of wheat abroad during the first five months of the current season. This is just a bit less than at the same time last marketing year (10.1 MMT was exported in July-November 2016/17).

The main end market for Ukrainian wheat this season was Indonesia, which absorbed 16% of its total exports at the time. This is already 2.5% more than supplied to this market for the whole last season. Bangladesh and Egypt also remain among the top importers of wheat from Ukraine.

Other countries showing persistent steady demand for Ukrainian wheat include European Union nations, South Korea, Philippines, Israel, Tunisia etc.

At the time, Ukrainian wheat shipments to Turkey were already up 33% year-on-year at 310 KMT.
