US pork among items marked for tariff by China

China has imposed tariffs of up to 25% on 128 US imports. As anticipated, pork is among the items slapped with a tariff following duties on foreign steel and aluminium imports that the US imposed in March.

The tariffs which take effect on Monday, will affect some USD 3 billion worth of imports. Beijing said the move was to safeguard China’s interests and balance losses caused by new US tariffs.
