USDA cut its sunseed and soybean crop estimates for the Black Sea region

In its October report the USDA raised the 2017/18 Black Sea production forecast for rapeseed and cut that for sunseed and soybeans, reports UkrAgroConsult.

So, rapeseed output in the region will grow due to a 150 KMT increase in Russia’s crop (1,400 KMT).

The October sunseed crop estimates for Ukraine and Russia were reduced by 500 KMT each, to 13,500 KMT and 11,000 KMT, respectively.

Also, Ukraine and Russia will account for the decline in Black Sea soybean production. Their soybean crops are expected to fall to 4,000 KMT (-600 KMT) and 3,700 KMT (-200 KMT), respectively.
