Vegoil production in Kazakhstan gained 1.5%

Kazakhstan’s fat-and-oil plants produced 160.7 KMT of vegoils in H1 2017, or 1.5% more than a year earlier, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The lion’s share in vegoil output is accounted for by sunoil. In the first six months of the current year, crushers made 57.6 KMT of refined sunoil (up 4.3% year-on-year) and 56.7 KMT of unrefined product (up 3.5%).

This year’s soybean oil production is also on the rise, having increased to 10.6 KMT (up 43.4%).

A drop is observed in rape oil production. The reason is a feedstock shortage due to farmers’ declining interest in rapeseed cultivation after the crop failure of 2015. So, rape oil output is down 23.7% year-on-year.
