
Vice PM Kubiv: Ukraine-Germany bilateral trade reached $8.1 bln last year
Germany is one of the largest trading partners of Ukraine, and the bilateral trade for the past year totaled $8.1 billion.
First Vice Prime Minister – Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine said this at the international conference on Ukrainian-German relations, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Germany is traditionally one of Ukraine's largest trading partners and powerful investors. The bilateral trade is growing and reached $8.1 billion in 2017," he said.
German investments in Ukraine, according to Kubiv, amounted to $1.8 billion in 2017.
"The lion's share of the investments is aimed at implementing the projects for production of the components for German automotive industry. A number of enterprises have been opened in various regions of Ukraine and employed about 4,500 people," the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine said.
He noted that the growth of German investment in the Ukrainian economy showed confidence in the reforms carried out in the country.
