Vietnam imports cattle from Australia


A ship from Australia carrying over 4000 meat cows has arrived at Cai Lan International port in Quang Ninh province, north of Vietnam. The animals will be fattened by Phu Lam Company, at its farm and at some integrated farms in the same province, before being distributed to slaughterhouses.

The project ‘Producing beef breeding cattle and beef cattle’ in Quang Ninh province at 40,000 cows per year, is the biggest total FDI investment in Quang Ninh. The project received 1000 ha to house 20,000 cows in accordance with Australian standards. The project also includes 300 ha of grassland, and cooperates with local farmers to create 1000 ha of forage for the cattle.
