Wheat bran exports from Ukraine dropped in season 2016/17


Wheat bran exports from Ukraine dropped in the first six months of 2016/17. Ukraine supplied 266.6 KMT of wheat bran to foreign markets in July-December that is down 18.2% from last season (326 KMT was exported in the same period in MY 2015/16), UkrAgroConsult notes.

Turkey remains a key importer of Ukrainian wheat bran. At the same time, noteworthy is growth of the Turkish share in wheat bran exports from Ukraine. So, Turkey’s portion reached 96.2% in the period under review against 79% in MY 2015/16. And Turkey bought a bit more than in the same period a year ago: over 256 KMT against 254 KMT, respectively. However, a decrease is seen in deliveries to other important markets such as China, Vietnam and EU countries.
