Wheat stocks in Ukraine higher than last year


According to the State Statistics Committee, cereal and pulse stocks in Ukraine totaled 22.25 MMT on February 1, 2018, i.e. 0.8% more than on the same date last year (22.08 MMT), reports UkrAgroConsult.

At the time, wheat stocks were up 3.7% at 7.24 MMT versus 6.99 MMT available as of February 1, 2017. Barley inventories fell by 24.8% from last year, to some 1.29 MMT (1.72 MMT in February 2017).

Corn stocks are slightly higher than a year ago. They totaled 12.28 MMT on the reporting date, up 0.3% from last year’s 12.24 MMT.

Rye inventories are already up 48.9% on the year at 172.7 KMT.
