Brazilian CS ethanol stocks more than 450 mln litres below prior year's

Ethanol stocks in Brazil's Centre/South (CS) as of December 16 amounted to 6.231 bln litres, down 560 mln from a fortnight earlier, official sources said. On the same day last year, stocks amounted to 6.683 bln litres. Of the 2011 total, 3.745 bln litres were hydrous alcohol and 2.886 bln anhydrous material.

Stocks in the North/Northeast were higher than last year reaching 466 mln litres compared with 317 mln 12 months earlier. As in the case of the CS, anhydrous alcohol is in high supply accounting for 247 mln litres (148 mln).
