Romania: grain trader Ameropa to delist shares of local division
Swiss grain trader Ameropa Holding plans to delist its Romanian subsidiary Ameropa Grains Constanta after buys out the minority shareholders’ residual 3.43% participation. The majority shareholder already carried a buy-out offer last fall and is reportedly ready to pay at least the same price per share to the shareholders that refused to sell so far. However, the majority shareholder obtained from the securities commission CNVM the right to delist the company’s shares. At stake seems to be the corporate [policy on disclosure, rather lacking transparency for all the grain traders operating in Romania. As we reported earlier, Ameropa Holding is in [process of taking over major local fertilizers producer Azomures from the company’s Turkish owners.
